Stepper Motor Pooched?

Above are where I'd start too. See below video from @R-III-R Turbo on TPS working and not working correctly,

May be of use.

Sometimes you can feel whether its powering, and trying to move, by touching it when you first turn on the ignition.

Bearing in mind it turned out the 2nd bike in the vid wasn't idling because the pressure signal to the MAP sensor was severely impeded.

@Zonechamp is your bike idling ok?
If so then you've nothing to worry about - as warp says ^^
The idle stepper moves in tiny tiny steps - it may be moving but you just don't see it.

If it's a bit funky then first step is to cycle it in the TuneECU idle stepper test function.. as warp says..

It idles at about 850rpm when cold and as it gets hot the idle drops down and sometimes stalls out. If I pull the stepper right off, the bike idles exactly the same. I have to track down a laptop and do some more diagnostics on it.

Well it was the stepper motor. I ordered a new one and everything is working fine. I used Tune ECU off my phone to make sure everything was set up correctly. The new stepper was preset at .72v already, no adjustment required. My TPS was good as well. I don't like the fact that you can move the TPS without loosening the screw. It is so touchy, I am surprised that vibration doesn't throw it out of whack.

I shim mine so it stays straight as it is tightened. But at 2 to 3 Nm torqure it is not much. I noticed when mine was installed there was a gap under the tang the bolt goes thru. Hence the shimming. Could be the length tolerance on the bushing in the throttle body.

So I just thought it getting in a bind was not as good as it not.
