Steam when riding in the rain

There's one stretch of road I ride....albeit with trepidation...for 8 time out of ten...you will turn onto said road, go through the little town down into a holler and a thunderstorm of diluvian proportions will quickly ensue. The next ten miles might as well be 50, but eventually you ride out of the storm. By the time you reach the next town, you are pretty well dried out, but freezing!

Fair enough, but temperature was in the 40F in New Jersey and I have yet to find a rain gear which will keep me dry when riding over an hour in the rain. I ride all year long expect when there is ice or snow on the road, for around 12K miles a year. Aside from the harsh rear shocks (will upgrade to progressive soon) and parking maneuverability, this is most enjoyable bike I have had so far, after Ducati Multistrada or BMW GS.
You might want to check out Hagon Nitro shocks. They work really well on the rocket.
