You can get away with a drift for the castle nuts but correct torquing is problematic when refitting.

It is possible to leave front frame mount in place and tilt the arse end of the frame up to get to the alternator cover but I found it easier to lift the frame off completely ... it's a pretty easy job just takes a little while.
I read the thread that describes that method. I am going frame off. I have printed the manual pages and am using it as a check list.
I am not sure what you mean by "drift".

Like a punch but a bit bigger.

You can use a modified socket if you have one big enough....just grind out some tabs until it fits the castle. At least that way you could torque them correctly.

I am sure u can handle the job with a few pointers.
1st remove oil sending unit or u will break it.
I am sure u will get a lot of help.
Could you clarify "oil sending unit"? Is this a sensor, pump or something else? Any chance you have a location or picture?

It is the engine oil pressure sensor.
Switch open then closes when u start enginr. It is located at the top of motot it favors the left hand side and will catch on (frame?) When u lower motor. If u pull the motor that is a lot of extra work.
