Starting problem

Thanks ill try that too.

Geeze, I feel for you. These bikes aren't that complicated, but just enough to cause frustration. @Boog ran through a big puddle, and with the help of @DEcosse found the severed wire to the speed sensor on the bottom of the engine cause all kinds of problems because of the way the ECU does trouble checking.

You need to have a "mechanic's day" at your place -- or ride the bike to someone who is able to help sort through the electrics, and just troubleshoot until you find the culprit, fix it, and put this behind you.

Life's too short to put up with an unreliable machine, and your Rocket should be treating you better. It just doesn't have the smarts to tell you what is ailing it.

Well dang, here I go again on my new-to-me Stratoliner. I cannot get it to start any longer unless I push start it. Luckily it is much lighter than the Rocket coming in at only 750#. I cleaned the starter button assembly on the right handle bar as the PO had said that was the problem. However, I believe now this one just needs a new battery. I have one on order right now and should be here Monday or Tuesday.
I need to get this bike online and reliable as I need to take Brahma down for some deep cleaning, corrosion abatement, new additions like a certain Full Dual Viking exhaust that will be arriving any day now...

So @nolton, how is your situation coming along now?

I also have a voltage leak somewhere but that doesn't prevent me from riding. Its annoying as hell but as long as I keep it on trickle charge , I'm good.
Yea I need to find a rocket owner that is close and electronically experienced.
