Starter/Ground Cable Upgrade Resource

Mully, I ran two sets of OEM cables for quite a while the only thing I did different was on the ground I ran the extra one to mount just underneath the rubber bumper mount for the kick stand. I must admit @flyreels has me puzzled on the wire from the solenoid to the starter. I will have to go look at the old OEM one I have laying around to see if I can get at that short little bugger running from the back of the motor over to the solenoid.When I pulled mine apart to add the large motor I found the solenoid contacts and plunger to be in ruff condition. If they are bad I doubt any size cable will help.

agreed had the solenoid and plunger gummed up in the starter found a brit site offering replacement parts for just that problem and solved it

I am thinking about doing this. Still saving money for keyless ignition

Hi I don't have pictures but @DEcosse told me this
Three wires - you're not so much upgrading, just add them in parallel to original wires - MUCH easier.
Battery Positive to Solenoid;
Solenoid to Starter;
Engine Ground to battery negative.

So that applies to MOST bikes, but not the Rocket - there is no "solenoid to starter" cable, because the solenoid is physically mounted and connected on top of the starter itself
So only two cables - Battery Positive to Solenoid and Engine Ground to Battery Negative

Didn't he say only two wires were necessary on the Rocket since the solenoid is mounted to the starter?
