Sorry Anthony, but I simply couldn't do it in November. Apart from it getting pretty hot by then it's well into the mad time of the year work wise. Why so late? When was this decided and is it set in stone?

Would be the same for me in the swimming pool industry getting busier the later it gets , i want to come to this one so earlier in November is better but not ideal. Is October out of the Question? Is the early weekend Melbourne cup weekend so we get a long weekend ? I will go with what ever is arranged and help out where i can Anthony.

Don't get me wrong, I will do everything I can to get to it. 1st weekend is the one after Melbourne Cup, so no long weekend, by the way. Late Sept or October would be my preference. Would be good to hear what others think.........Come on guys, you probably won't get flamed for speaking your mind.

Happy to go with the flow , considering I have no idea where we will be living then or if we can attend. Honestly will do my best to get there but won't be riding over from Western Australia. Glad it's happening though .. good onya Ponters

Only dead fish go with the flow.

usually middle of Oct a couple times they have had it in Sept and it was like being in the Antarctic and October can be unpredictable, I suggested November (in the Batemans Bay RDU thread) only as the cold evenings are not pleasant for our northern friends, while it really only was a bit cool for me I watched the Qld'ers huddled in Doonas and anything they could find.... so looking at the big picture I would rather be sitting around having a drink to cool off and relax than trying to stay warm and going to bed early because it is getting too cold.
Just for the record I love my yearly visits to MottoGP and never miss it but if it is decided to shift the RDU to the weekend of the MottoGP I would choose the RDU over MottoGP, but I will say this 9 out 10 MottoGP's we have to wear polar fleece vests and jackets also there are frequent storms ie heavy rain combined with cold winds that time of year, November is usually nicer and more stable yet not to hot.
but I am happy to go with whatever Ponters and the Majority want
