Standing out in a crowd

Since I tamed my Rocket many years ago with ugly touring accessories, and most of the time it is dirty, the gawking and questions from others actually became quite rare. But today at a stoplight a guy in a car adjacent to me went on and on about triumphs and how he had this and that one years ago blah blah blah. I told him the bike was a Triumph 140.....140 cu, 140 hp, 140 ft lbs, and 140 mph. He dropped his jaw, the light turned green, and I a took off with all it had and he soon became a speck in my mirror.

I think we both got a kick out of that.

I love that the Rocket is rare......well ......except when I have to order parts.

Common as muck around me, really pisses me off as I used to be the only Rocket in the village.

me and DustyRose saw 1 on the highway about a year ago,
riding in the other direction.
It was blue, and I've never seen it again.
The only time I see one besides ours
is IF I can get ahold of Lupe for a ride,
or when we all meet up for the Rocket parade to M.V.
other than that,,,,, NOTHING.
i like that,,, harleys and h-d clones everywhere..
Different is GOOD.

Well I live down here in south Louisiana very near the Gulf of Mexico, and every since the Rockets came out in 2004 I have NEVER seen one in my area. I flew up to Loveland, Colorado on October 1st to pick up the Rocket and started heading back the same day. Almost every place I stopped someone would walk up and say what is it, or WOW, or MAN THATS COOL. First day I rode it to work a croud gathered round it to check it out. I compare it to a "TWO WHEELED CADILAC ON STEROIDS. Thats how I describe it when someone ask me how it rides. Even some of my ole Harley buddies look at it and say "Now thats one massive engine". Guess I'll have to ride to the Lone Star Rally in Galveston to see another one.

It aint no thang! Went to Kaiser yesterday to pick up my meds and there in the parking lot was a sweet red and black R3 with Jars and some tasteful bling. Nice. No threat to my identity or self worth. Liked seeing it. Another unique bike...hence...another unique man or woman who rides it! What's not to like?????
