Standard Headlight Bulbs

I'm just worried those lights and a flasher would run down the battery far enough to have difficulty starting the bike after several hours since they are incandescent bulbs. LED's draw so little current you could leave them on for days without putting a dent in the battery.

You could do a test on the lights to see if they could stay on that long and still have good battery cranking amps. The tail light is easy to unplug under the right side cover, just above the ECU. You could unplug the tail light and then turn the ignition key to park so that just the parking lights come on in the the headlights. Leave it overnight and see if they run down the battery.
Also, the tail light is on the same circuit as the parking lights, leaving them hooked up and using the key in park position could cause all three to flash or at least the tail light to come on too, depending how the flasher was wired in.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for some kind of compact electronic flasher, let you know if I see something interesting.
Just after getting the bike I accidentally left the parking lights on. They were on for about 7 hours. It did crank but barely.

Almost through with my Eastern Beaver relay install. Only thing left is to run the power line back to the battery and install the fuse.
Being stupid as to electricity, I wired my possition lights back up with the second (unused) connector. When I cut the first one off to solder the yellow and white leads, I cut the position light wires off at the connection. I used the sheathing on the original conn to insulate the two wires over to the right headlamp assy. I then installed the eastern beaver H4 conn, then solderedd the yellow and white wire i brought over to the right one using the original harness sheathing. I just pulled the other wires out.
So, my left connector is for the lights and the right side conn is only going to work my position lights.
Atleast, I hope so.lolIt's late and I don't dwant to know if there is a problem yet. I'll wait till in the morning and complete it.
Seemed simple enough following these directions. Only question will be the parking lights.
I'll let you know tomorrow if it works.
BTW, is there any reason you can't just pull the yellow and white wire out of the conn with needle nose pliers instead of cutting and taping up the wires? If someone thinks this is a problem, I hope you post it soon.lol

has anyone ran the relay kit alongside the keyless ignition , any special instructions , here is what i have done , installed keyless ignition about two months ago, now today i was installing a pc8 fuse panel with relay, dual headlight relay kit with low beam cut out, installed pc8 getting power to fuse box thats all good, conected relay kit to the fuse box installed fuse , hit my remote and no headlights, no guge sweep or nothing , my relay on my remote is closing so i know thats working , im hot going to the headlight relays but the relays dont seem to be closing , did i miss anything , oh yeah the two wires for the lowbeam cutout switch i just wired them together for trouble shooting, what do you need going to the relays to get them too shut and power the headlights. any ideas will be tried , figured it out , i screwed up my remote unit to power my relay when i hooked it up the first time ,, i aint no electrician so it took me a few hours . well for now i will finish the install with a switch till i can get a new remote unit , im thirsty i will finish tommorow

One final note, make sure that you thank your trusty helper. A small sample of treats will do. They are not hard to please.
