Stain Tune muffler size and sound

How does the size diameter and length of Stain Tune mufflers compare to the stock mufflers.

How about sound comparision as well.

I have Staintune triple pipes and cat bypass. I'll measure mine tomorrow and post.

How are the new headers going ? Have you found heat a problem , without any heat shields ? Mate of mine has just made himself a set of headers very similar to the ones Carpenter Racing sells , still prefer the look of the ones you had made.

The outside dia of my Staintune pipes are 3 inches. Length apears to be about even to the back edge of the rear tire. I like the sound. Not loud at idle but has a deep tone and come alive under full throttle. Quality is top notch highly polished stainless steel. Fit and finish is perfect. You get what you pay for.

The new header is perfect. It is hotter than the stock head pipe but I don't see it being a problem. It got up to 92F the other day and my old twin cam Harley felt hotter. I hope to get off my ass this weekend and install my wide band A/F sensor and gauge so I can tune my Dobeck. Then it's off to the Dyno is see the numbers.

My mate that built the Carpenter-like system rang the bloke that made your headers after i showed him your photos. He was really helpful and i still cant believe the price he quoted on headers and heat-sheilds, half what i've been quoted here. He was blown away getting a call from Oz :D Glad your happy with the headers and there on my " must have" list.
