The very pheasable explanation they gave me was , because of my medical history , the surgeon would not perform the op unless there was a bed in the ICU ward where I could be monitored for 24hrs post op ! On reflection , the probable " real " reason was that a private patient was given precedence over me ! Maybe I am just being cynical ? But our NHS is in turmoil with the Tory government cutting funding in order to push people into private healthcare !
They are rearranging dates for me but for now , all is up in the air .
