No idea what specific engine I’ll be working on, and I won’t be able to share anything I see or learn unfortunately. I can’t even SEE my work area until I’m employed and cleared!

Logically they are very protective of their new and developing bikes and engines.

Help them out, they've been long behind the technology curve and are still trying to catch up. I blame former CEO Keith Wandell. He only wanted to focus on cruisers, didn't understand why anyone wanted sports / race bikes and didn't understand why Harley needed a racing division. I think it was under his tenure that they kicked Eric Buell to the curb. I think that dude did a lot of damage to innovation.

Thanks, however I’m just excited to be part of the team! Every manufacturer has its challenges. I’ve owned many Harleys, still work on them. But I didn’t post this to put HD in judgement. Just that I’ll be working for them!

Sorry if I came across as bashing. I've owned a few in my time and still have one. I feel the Moco had some periods of time with not so great leadership, more focused on short term profitability versus the future of the brand longterm.

Anyway, congrats again enjoy!! I'm sure that it will be an amazing experience.

If you get a chance tell them they don't have to just make push rod V Twins based on 1921 technology. If they want something good to offer Right out of the Box they could resurrect the 1250 V Rod engine and this time put it in a performance frame and make a real Riders motorcycle out of it.

When the weather permits, my 200+ horsepower bike will be in the parking lot!
