Stumbled across this recent video suggested by the YouTube algorhythms.
Very interesting because - I can't find the exact post, but it's in there somewhere - several years ago when doing the R&D on the 2.5L Stroker, it really really seemed like Triumph designed the engine to be ready for an OEM 2.5L upgrade (that never happened after).
Also (documented in same thread), a number of things found made it look like a 6th gear might've been in the works as an OEM upgrade too, but never made it.
Guess this video (piece wrt modularity being a thing with Triumph) might indicate this speculation might've been accurate after all..?
