Setting off, heading home. Taking the direct super slab route. While 703 miles was not terrible, the number deer was extreme on the way up, so using a little discretion to get back safely.
This was a fun trip, and I got to dial in most of my tune pretty well. High elevation of 8000 ft, and lows about 50ft, so I've been able to dial in idle across a wide range. It's quite hilarious how drasticly 5th gear changes when climbing a mountain over 7000, suddenly I have to actually throttle up to maintain speed (something very abnormal on a rocket haha).
Mufasa haven't missed a beat the whole way, quite happy about it. Holds 93c coolant temps as long as I'm over 40mph, no fan, so I'd say the small tweaks to the cooling system are working perfectly. Zero coolant lost in the last 8 months, so water/dei only is working flawlessly, and has not changed color 1 bit.
Coincidentally I've turned 5k on the Emax and it seems about 50% worn, but my Avon front is near it's end at 7500. Think I'll be going with the Road 5 150/70 front and a Cobra Chrome rear prior to the 3 sisters in October.
All in all, aside from visiting family this has been quite productive and relaxing.
