Size comparison R3 V R3R

Went to the dealers last week , not sure how comfortable the pillion will be if on long journeys or touring .

Width, height, and weight noticably less on the new bike. Over 3 1/2 " narrower, 4" lower is a lot.
I'd like to know where they measure the height. It says without mirrors, so I'd think top of the bars. That's not a good comparison because the bars are so different. Width is the bars too. I'd rather know the height at the top of the triple tree. The seat height is 1/2 inch higher on the 2020, so I wouldn't think the Roadster is actually 4 inches taller.

I understand that, but it's almost 100 lbs lighter, too. Lane splitting or tight quarters in your barn, 4" is significant. Actually probably over 100 lbs wet weight.

if I cut the backend off my classic, and other bits of character like fenders, it would be a lot lighter :)
Would not like scaping the crud off the radiator (No protection from that sleek looking fender)
I imagine folk will want engine bars and baggage, so I guess it does not really matter in the end. I doubt its much less cumbersome stood still, maybe more cumbersome if lower down :)

during my ride today i stopped at the lights and stood up to see how much room i had under me and there was maybe 3 inches...the bike is so well balanced you can easily hold it with your legs while stretching or whatever...bars are not too wide but comfy...im 6ft 1in...maybe 6ft 2in with my boots and pretty leggy and i fitted very snug on the seat with the tank just right between my knees......its a beautiful bike boys!
