That's great, I'll start searching for that. Thanks! Attached are a few pictures of the bracket, basically just a straight piece of metal with two holes on either end. It feels solid, no vibration from what I can tell. I did notice while my dad was riding this on front of me that when you hit a bump in the road it can partially block the brake light for a split second though.
You're probably right to remove that setup. Or at least redo it. The middle bolt is missing whether it had one of the offset pieces there or not. As it now is I'd hate to be trusting that one lock washer (or that weld) to hold the whole rear assembly on. I'd rotate it back down and use that middle bolt until the tail tidy comes in.

Yea you're right about that, I don't even know why they thought that was a good idea in the first place. My tail tidy should be arriving by the end of the week, so soon it won't be a problem anymore!
 
I added a backrest (sissybars are for drivers! ;)) for my wife, but I'm holding on to the infills, I might want to sell it someday.
