Went to Home depot found a even better unit on sale for the same price but it has a thermostat included, then I found out I need a special switch that home Depo doesn't carry.
So decided it's too dangerouse for me to play around with it, and mean of me to ask my wife to turn it on just in case I wired it wrong
So going to hire some one to do it.
Thank God for that final decision, I am happy you got your blinkers wired and of your newly acquired confidence in wiring up 12 volt lights, but would completely agree that 240v is out of your league even if you do want a new wife or just to give her a new frizzy hair look.
In reality I suggest you learn a lot more about 12 volt systems before you tackle anything else as even 12v wired wrong can short and cause a fire or completely fry your very expensive electrical system and ecu computers etc. which besides the cost of parts would possibly cost you many 1000's in labour to have the bike dismantled to find the problem and fit new or even second hand parts.
Google 'basic 12v electrical projects', and get a spare 12v battery or two, some wire, switches, fuses and old globes, solenoids and relays from an auto wrecker and play around with the parts nailed or screwed to an old plank or wooden board. A cheap $5-$10 dollar multimeter will help heaps too to learn about circuits, resistance, voltage drop, amps and watts etc.
Noted, thanks.
I decided to get a professional to hook my 240 heater.
Yeah lm lucky went to home depot and went to just get a sigle pole switch, but lucky the guy
Noticed the heater and said I need a switch for a 240. But they didn't have any.
I thought a normal single switch was good enough, Well I'm guess my wife or me would of had a nice shock
