I have changed out 100's of tires in my younger years with large hand tire changing tools, mostly 3 piece rims.

There is no way I would attempt to try to change out a rocket rear tire with large tire changing tools even if I was 25 years old again.
There is no way to do it with out tearing the crap out of the rim. Plus most likely you would destroy the bead on the new tire.

I have changed out quite a few M/C tires on a manual machine with just small hand tire tools (K1200 LT BMW) not a problem. Now the Rocket tire and wheel are a different animal .....I promise!!

Those new no touch machines are worth the money to get the tire changed

Look at the No-Mar manual tire changers I have something similar ,but there machines are a little better.I've changed several tires with mine for my Rocket and other bike kes incl. My C109RT which had 240 rear tire.

No,no, all i want to do is take the wheel out and take it to a tire shop to have te tire replaced, thats it

It is not that hard to take the bike wheel off. The problem is stabilizing the bike. I used a floor jack and a modified bracket with straps. Glad to see you got a ROCKET. I am jealous your Rocket has less mileage than mine and it just had its six month birthday.

It's not hard to remove it from the bike.
Getting it off the rim is the challenge.

And don't forget to grease the splines while you have it apart.

I bet those fancy tire machines cost 10 - $15,000

I have heard of guys using a grinder to cut the bead of a Metz tire off of the Rocket wheel

That is why I have 2 rocket rims, one for the M/C tire and the other for my F1 Goodyear Eagle car tire

A reciprocating saw works pretty good for getting the old 240s off too
