I've ridden Harleys almost all my life. Over the past 7 years I owned several Hayabusas. Last year I bought an 09 Fatbob from Orlando HD. While I was waiting for it to be prepped, I took a preowned R3 for a test ride and it's haunted me ever since  I really love the Fatbob, but can't get the R3 out of my head. The power and riding comfort seem to be calling me :p I pretty much know what all of you here will tell me.......so.......yes......I'll be heading to the dealer in Tampa this week :)

In the meantime, I'll be readin and lurkin here, thanks for a great forum!!

Hi Blademan
Yup sure is a great bike
And if you want Busa beating power
it can easily be obtained.

being an ex-hd myself I'm here to tell ya..I wish I'd done it sooner. I have a tour and it's fantastic. Got rid of my road glide and havent looked back. 150 hp at the rear tire.....and I smoke my fellow hd'rs. They try and tease me and call me trumpet boy, I just fire back and call them Honda Davidson riders. Honda has been making the front ends for about 8 years....hahaha.

Hey Knifemaker. You should check out Red Vapors bike. Such a deal. It don't sound like it needs much, but you can make it your own with a little help from the guys on this site. Welcome to the site from Chicago.

rode harleys since I was 17 myself,,
Every tattoo on my body says harley,,
then I took my first ride on a Rocket.
Now own two....
Don't hesitate, it'll only make you want it more...

Welcome to the forum.

Easy call for me, I love the Rocket and would not trade it for a Harley of any kind. That being said, I have a buddy that sold his Rocket to get a Fatbob. He had all kinds of reasons but I got the sense it was really a matter of fitting in with all of his riding buddies in N.C.

I grew up in Lakeland and still have family there. I was just there a few weeks ago. Not much seems to change there.
