I followed a glimpse of a pair of cool looking teardrop tailights with a spare glass lense on Gumtree and found a treasure trove. I thought these would look cool mounted in hard panniers.
They were described as possibly 1940's Ford. Au$70 (US$50) seemed fair to me but he had already declined 5 offers since listing in 25/03/2016.
I paid the price asked and now they have arrived brand new in collapsed old blister pack with cork gaskets etc. 5.5" long and 2.5" wide... perfect.
Arrived today in great condition and the brand name on the lenses helped me ID them on US Ebay as

Got the lot for Au$80 and when they arrived I had some surprises. Au$1086 worth of new parts

The new Cam blade guide T1142055 Au$71.40 came with the matching
new T1142048 Au$159.40 (both R3 later versions)
A new Crankshaft sprocket T1140049 Au$120
A new 2nd gear output gear T1180064 Au$243
A new Damper Torsional Bearing T1270850 $51
A new Clutch Bush T1174900 Au$17.43
A new Clutch Auxillary sprocket T1170943 Au$221
I picked up a new T1180099 - DOG RING SPLINED for Au$20 and new T1180061 - GEAROUTPUT4TH for free earlier, so nearly have everything required for my project bike's blown transmission.
