there is a 2022 black GT at one of the Harley dealerships up here with 612 Km on it and they want about $22,000 for it, i think the original owner scared the crap out of themselves and decided to trade for a Harley that was controllable, or they just couldn't handle the awesome factor
Thanks a bunch, I do have a new 23 GT spotted for just under $20,000 at a Triumph dealer. In fact my dealer has one for just under 20 also, but its a chrome edition and where I live it think the chrome would be brutal because of the sun factor.

Well I guess it's about time to sell the scoot. Of course I will be getting a newer Rocket but here is the issue. I have no idea how much to ask for the GT because I have a ton of miles on it and I cant find any for sale with the miles mine has on it so I dont know what to price the thing at. If anyone has seen one with siimilar miles for sale in your area I would appreciate knowing what those folks are asking for theirs. Or if anyone thinks what a fair price would be that would be interesting. Everything works perfect the motor is strong.. 82,000 miles by the way. I really do not have room in the garage to keep it as a backup.
those miles are really not that many because of Euro 6 and legal issues, the actual speed is recorded more than what it is, +/- 15% correction, so reduce 10 or 15% from its odometer but hey companies love it as its more frequent services for them$$$
More on that here

I also agree with this. When i use the phone Google maps to navigate on my R3 I see the speed on Maps is 10% less than the speed being shown on the TFC console all the time.

Because the speedometer is off does not mean the odometer is off and even if the odometer was off by ten or even fifteen percent that would not change the issue much. How much difference would it make to a buyer if it had 70,000 miles or 82,000 miles?

Going to be quite difficult to sell with that kind of mileage. If it's running great, I would keep it even if that meant putting it in a storage facility!

Fantastic! A true mega miler. You are likely then a reliable source on R3 ownership knowledge. That would mean that you had about 2-3 regular services done, (oil/filter) annually (8-12 total), final drive oil changes about once per year (3-4 total) and about 2-3 major services which included valve adjustments, along with as many as 6-8 tire changes. What are your actual numbers above and how did all that go? What are your take away messages to R3 owners who plan on putting on the miles on their rides? Hope you got your best selling price.

I change the engine oil myself every 10,000 miles as Triumph suggests using whatever oil is on sale and meets Triumph's specs. Certainly not annually that would be way too many miles. Yea I do the final drive probably onece a year.. I have had the valves checked twice and neither time was any valve out of spec. No idea how many tire changes but quite. few. I greased the needle bearings in the rear hub once maybe 10,000 miles ago and they really didn't need it. I am on the third set of plugs and third fuel/air filter did them at 80,000 miles the last time. the plugs looked perfect and all six of them had exactly the same burn. I have done all of the preventative maintenance myself most of the time close to when Triumph recommends. That is the best I can do for you as I am not a very good record keeper and dont get too caught up in doing things exactly according to Hoyle. I feel the motor is as strong as it ever was btw. I am the ride it and have fun type I guess. I am leaning towards keeping the present bike somewhere as a spare and just getting a new one. Heading for the mountains this weekend to get out of the heat and I have every confidence in the old girl, lol.

700 mile weekend and the old Rocket did great. Btw, we left the mountains at 55f to end the day several hours later at 110f. Quite a swing.
