Sean A McPherson New Guy

howdy from Edmonton Alberta! Great intro, I'm not quite done the break in miles on my Rocket yet, but there has not been a single time ive thrown a leg over her that I have not had a stupid grin on my face....even when I brought it home from the dealership in a snow/rain storm

Welcome from exotic Idaho. I agree. Get the Roadster and dress her up. Here is my Standard (pre Roadster name) with Corbin Fairing and Corbin Beetle Bags. Be sure to get the Classic Back Rest for the little lady. Bill.

Here it is with the taller Long Ride Shield and a Utopia riders back rest I added for this trip.

Duly noted, I am sure she will enjoy that. The seat you have in the second looks pretty comfortable as well, what is it?

The seat is a custom made modified stock seat. I had a guy modify the stock rear seat pan by adding metal 3" around the sides and back. Then I took it to Rick Mayer Saddles in California for a custom fitting. He added contoured orthopedic foam and the leather cover. He did both seats for me. Unfortunately he has gone out of business. His brother Bill still makes saddles in a similar way. Bill Mayer Saddles. Bill Mayer Saddles - BMS Custom Motorcycle Seats by Rocky Mayer

Yes they are comfy. I can ride 400 to 600 miles even more a day and be fine. I really want to do an Iron Man ride but my kids can't stay in the saddle that long on their bikes.

One way you can easily improve your stock seat is to purchase a natural sheep skin and cut it to fit your seat. All I did to attach it was I put an eyelet on each side and ran a small piece of rope from eyelet to eyelet under the seat. Keeps it on and allows it to easily slip off when I wash the bike.

You would love the Touring model and find that while not quite as insane as the roadster it's got enough torque to drag an aircraft carrier behind it without slowing you down. Moreover, you already have sensed that both models are big enough to make tall folks like us feel like there is something for us in the world.

Welcome from Maine, yes the rocket is for big people, I'm 6-3 also, but only 225 lbs. I find the foot pegs fine for a while, recently added some cruzing pegs to stretch out a bit, very nice.
