I purchased the R# awhile back . Tuned the exhaust , installed a K&N air filter, new plugs ect. Bike ran great . One thing I was disappointed in was the fuel mileage best I could get was the low 30s. A friend of mine who runs a auto repair shop , and a biker also ,is a big fan of Seafoam. I put some in my truck to clear the fuel injectors saw some very positive results. Then I decided to try it out on the bikes. This past weekend we went to a Rally about 300 miles away. Most of the run was at highway speeds , on ethanol. After about the first tank the mileage started going up. Ended up with 40 MPG . I can not complain with that.
You can get it at Walmart . I used one ounce per gallon as directed.

Sea-Foam is available in gallons (much cheaper) at O'Rielys auto parts. So is Berryman Chem Tool.

I tend to use Stabil Marine Grade (blue) in every tank of crap gas the Obama administration has saddled us with.

Berryman (B12) Chem Tool (not vitamin B12:D) is wonderful stuff for cleaning carb and injector internals. About 2 minutes in my Lyman ultrasonic case cleaner and everything is clean and bright.

The formulation here in Maine hasn't changed in years. Are you getting more than 10% ethanol up there?

I find Obama fully supporting Bush's failed ethanol policy is closer to the reality.

Do you have to change your oil after you use the Gumout product or you just add to your gas and go?

I need to do this, do you get the infamous tail pipe smoke like you get with the seafoam?

Honestly, I don't know but 10 percent is too much. Far as Obama, I blame it on the current watch because the current administration has so many 'could have's would have's' that aren't.

In actuality. there should be no E subsdity at all. The gummit should have, would have never started paying subsudues to E plants to manufacture grain alcohol as a motor fuel.

The government needs to get out of private business, it's busting their arse.

Ethanol (grain alcohol) is a great fuel..... In a high compression, non-emission controlled engine, that is.

I am an old boat racer (third generation), so I've known about Seafoam long before it caught the public's eye. Good product, but I like Regane better. YMMV

Gumout Regane is simply added to the fuel. A bottle treats 22 gallons - 3-4 tanks. This contains the highest level of polyether amine (PEA) of any product currently available. Very effective, and burns cleaner than SeaFoam.

I keep several bottle in the shop at any one time.

If an engine is REALLY carboned up, I use a product from Mercury Marine called Power Tune that is sprayed into the intake ports of the running engine. Lots of black smoke from this stuff.
