Screaming Banshee horn kit on the R3T?

Looking to get a horn on the bike that isn't silly. At first I thought just to replace the stock with a serious air horn but then found the "Screaming Banshee" info - it adds the air horn but doesn't replace the stock, so you can still give a friendly toot or hold the button down a quarter second and blast 130+ db of airhorn. Anyone try it? Any pitfalls with the install on an R3T?

That horn will fit in the same spot as your original OEM horn. you will just need to make a small L bracket. I do not have a Screaming Banshee but looking at the website it appears to be the same design as a Wolo horn or a Stebel Nautilus, thats what I have.

I have this 2011 R3 Roadster with a Corbin fairing. I installed the Screaming Banshee 2 piece horn by putting the compressor where the original air filter was under the seat and the horn behind the fairing with a supplied bracket. Loud.

Yeah the system is actually a Wolo horn but with some added secret sauce in the controller, so you can keep the stock horn and add the Wolo and have that activate only if the button is held down for a fraction of a second.

Any ideas on how to tack on a horn to the bike if I don't want to remove the stock horn? I suppose I could get a chrome horn and mount it visibly on the engine/highway bars...

Sorry, I can not find them, I think the pictures were sent thru a private message email.
My bike is in cold storage until the snow melts and I can not get at to take more pictures until spring.
It was easy enough to do, on the R3T you do not need to split the compressor, theres lots of room to install the whole horn on the R3T same place as the original is.
You need a metal bracket about 1 1/4 wide and about 4 inches long. Drill a hole in the end of the bracket so you can install the original horn mounting bolt. Drill another hole on the other end to mount the horn. Now with a vice, bend it so the horn is offset.

I will take some more pictures in the spring, if you are willing to wait till then.

Halfords in the UK sell something similar by Ring. Just under £30. Might just upgrade my wimpy stock tooter.

Sure do like the trick electronics that enable use of the stock horn and pulsating high beams.
Shall look into this and see how it is mounted.

I just mounted a Stebel Nautilus horizontally where the OEM horn was, I didn't even have to make a bracket, just used the same one. The only thing I did was run a rubber hose from the air intake to the back side of the horn. I am going on 2 years with it mounted horizontally even though they say to be within 15 degrees of vertical. I figure for the price, if I can get 3-5 years out of it, I will just bite the bullet and replace it.
