I put the blue hoses on my red 2006. Did not remove radiator, but did have to loosen it to tilt it forward. I also purchased another blue set for the black 2005 basket case I am putting back together.

Uh, what instructions ?
The ones cleverly printed on the rear of the bag the hoses come in. The bit you rip open to get at the hoses. The ones you find as you're clearing up the mess on the garage floor after almost refitting the originals after yet another leak. Those instructions.

Never saw them. Care to enlighten the less careful ?
You have to torque them tight - cant remember how hard but HARD - then retorque again later. There is far more give in the Silicone than in rubber.
I must have the bag somewhere - probably full of 10mm sockets.

Cameron and I installed them on my 09 Touring after he bought it and it was a bit of a chore, somewhat akin to stretching the proverbial ant's ass over a garbage can. We didn't remove the radiator at the time, nor move it forward, which we probably should have done. In any event, it was moot since the radiator had damage to one of the nipples, requiring the purchase of a new radiator and doing it all again. Cam made the final installs after I helped with the new radiator.

I don't recall torquing the clamps but just tightening them. He took it for a ride and then we tightened them again, because they were LOOSE, but not leaking. Excellent quality hoses they are and the blue looks great on the blue bike.

If it is full of 10mm sockets you will never find it, I always put some Whitworth wrenches beside my tools you never misplace them:D
