if you can't get in touch with the manufacturer, then a locksmith can surely pick the lock and make you a key for them. just a thought if you can't contact the original company who made the bags.
Just got off the phone with a really helpful at Dixie International. Vartex is headquartered in Belgium. The saddlebags are maufactured in tunisia. The factory is completely shut down due to themiddle east meltdown. The website is under permanent construction. Oh well. Hopefuly I get a return email from Vartex. Anyways, thanks for everybody's help.
Hey, just another stray thought. Take the whole setup to a good local locksmith. They usually have lots of spare keys and the old pros know a lot of tricks.
