I've heard reports that this seat starves the engine of air due to insufficient airflow under the seat. Any idea if that's true?

I'd love to have two seats -- one for two-up with integrated passenger backrest, and one for solo, but it looks like Corbin's Touring seat uses a funky mounting bracket, so it is not an easy deal to swap it with a Young Gun.

Wouldn't know about that, I use the filter under the young guns for tools.

Quite a few of our riders are a wee bit on the portly side so they compress the seat down and the air gets cut off then we have riders like Skip who wiegh about 75# soaking wet with a 50pound dumbbell in his pocket the stock seat is fine it lets plenty of air into the engine if in doubt do as I and a bunch of other have done install the tripkle K&Ns

I had a Honda NightHawk S once upon a time .... and that thing ran like a striped ass ape untill it got hit by a crosswind. The combination of high speed and the crosswind would suck the life right out of it, litteraly. Anytime you can direct intake airflow so that it doesn't come from under the backside of the seat there must be a benefit.
I truely belive that an R3 cannot acheive 150mph without altering where the breeze comes from. I call it "Ass vacuum" hehe, triples will set you free.

I take it you either missed my post (about you) a bit back or you ignored it......

On the subject of K&N's I'm having a hell of a time getting 62-1560's from K&N. You'd think that dealing with K&N directly, they'd have the stuff on hand all the time. Not so.

Champion Sidecars Hard Bags

Roadster accessories market seems to be pretty thin right now. What are some of options for saddlebags besides dealer's $800 leather bags?

They don't seem eager to enter the bag market so you'll need to find a dealer for the Trikes or sidecars. The do a Gold Wing trike, I think, so a Honda dealer might be a place to start.

I suggested a "Sport-Touring" package for the Roadster to Triumph.

Started with one of the nice, expensive roll bags from Bikersfiend. Problem was, no where for the supplied bungees on the roadster. Got the triumph bags installed and there was a perfect place to set the roll bag behind the sissy bar and tie it to the bag supports. I guess I'm ready to take a long trip now.lol Enough luggage space to go around the world.
