Running Exhaust straight off headers

Would it be possible to run a short pipe right of the headers for exhaust? Would it be ok or would you need to mod the air intake and all of that?

You can run an exhaust staight off the headers or crossover box, though it may be a little hard to tune and raise the rpms required for peak power.
Nothing needs to be done to the air intake, but as others have said you'll need a tune or you'll be risking engine damage.

What exactly are you after .. a different sound .. a different look or increased performance ?? If we knew what you were wanting perhaps the suggestions could be more helpful.

How do you go about doin that?

Remove the tips from the ends of the mufflers. Drill right around the edge of the plate you will see when tips are removed. Remove the plate, long nosed pliers of kitchen tongs will get all the sound deadening crap out .. bolt the tips back on and go annoy your neighbours ... :D if I've forgotten anything it's been nearly 5 years since I 'modified' my original mufflers.
