Rostra Electronic Cruise Control Installation

At one stage I did make a washer with a conecter on the end to replace the stainless steel washer on the conecting linkage, sort of worked ok - BUT stiffened the whole throttle and would not return throttle to idle position when releasing your right hand grip - may have loosened up eventually I dont know

This is a mod I've considered for some time just been waiting for a true Rocket scientist to work out the finer details.

The MCCruise switch is a better looking unit but I didn't see a listing for just the switch on their web site.

The one thing I would recommend to your PDF is a disclaimer. A big bold Use at your own risk ! If your kill your self or destroy your bike I'm not responsible .

Thanks Lester,
Thats done, these things should go without saying but you just cant assume that people have good judgment.
Thats one reason i didn't include the wiring connections.

Still have not done alot of testing etc.
Been too busy and raining here in Brissy

Went for a short ride yesterday (not enough to do any adjusting) the gain controls will need to be adjusted as it powers on and off too much to keep speed and takes a few too many seconds to engage but at least it is picking up the VSS signal its all fine tuning from now on.

Hey Mittzy, I'm going with the magnets on my set up and wondered if you only used one magnet on yours. The instructions say two or four so I was just wondering...

Hi Mate,
I used two magnets fitted them to the ABS ring on the back wheel, had to make a bracket to evenly space the magnets as there are 5 spokes on the ABS ring. See images.

That's what I figured you did, but just wanted to make sure. Thank you for your help, my friend. I will probably be asking a few more questions. I appreciate you posting the process for us here.
