Rode The 2014 Indian Chiefton Today

The new Indian 111 does have some respectable torque and a flat torque band. More than can be said for most cruisers, except ours, I believe they make 122 Ft. Lbs. still nearly double a Hardly.

Hey I intend to ride a new Harley Ultra Limited (water cooled) as well. I like just about all bikes for different reasons.

Took a ride out to a local Victory and Indian dealer at the weekend. The Chieftan is running at £20,695 stock in UK. I am told that there are currently only 3 Indians in the UK and they will be doing a tour of the dealers (6?) over the next few weeks for test rides with the Indian having its official launch over here at the NEC Birmingham in October. My dealer currently has 42 test rides booked for the week he is being allowed to have one of the 3 in this country!

Well as usual the bike felt extremely small but outside of that I liked it better than any V-twin I have ever ridden including all metric bikes, Harleys, and Victorys. That motor is great and there is alot of surprising high end torque. The bikes are beautiful! I would not give up my Rocket but may wait in the shadows for a used one of these down the road.

I should have rode the Vintage as well but there was quite a line. It has a longer wheel base and might have been even better.
I agree with you, they are beautiful bikes, I would never give up my rocket, but I have my wife at about 90% that she will sell her sportster to get an Indian, when they become available for test rides in Canada will be the real test.

That red/black Rocket is nice looking, I have been wanting to trade for a fairing bike, I wish Triumph would come out with an OEM for our bikes

one of the forum regulars posted this link for a batwing, I'm tapped out this season, but I may get one next year and paint it in my colours, there are some nice pics of R3T's with the fairing, and they bolt onto our bikes (according to the website)

I here most of ya crying about spending money on something I tell ya for a batwing this one is hard to beat and is the lowest in coast and is made right here in the US I love mine and can have it on or off in under 2 min uses what is already there

I have the Tsukayu fairing on my bike and I love it, it looks much better than the original windshield . Go to my pictures to see it.

Its a different class! no power! just a cruiser! I learned the hard way back in the 90s when I had a well known Maryland H.D. engine builder put together a ground up motor 102 ci. with the best parts available for my low rider, it made 121 hp and 123 tq. not bad! I could have bought a new rocket for the amount of money spent! and it only lasted 3500 miles then scattered!
i KNOW GUYS THAT SPENT CLOSE TO $100,000 HOT RODDING A Vtwin just to try and beat the modded Rockets thet we ride and the fastest one ran a 10.98 @123 1/4 mile HA what a waste of $$$$$ that bike was biult by STAR RACING that builds the NHRA prostock dragbikes

I like this one, it appears it works with the driving light bar and lights. I am just not sure it would look good on my bike because of my colors.
