Rockets Across America III

So what seems to be the problem? They were kind enough to let you know how far you were Arkadelphia.

The problem is I was 4 miles from Arkadelphia.. Then, a mile closer to Arkadelphia, I was 5 miles away.. 4 minus 1 = 5..

I'm an accountant. Your math reminds me of an old accounting joke from college.

A young CPA fresh out of Harvard, where he graduated with honors, and interviews for a job. The manager asks all of the usual b.s. questions and finally asks the young lad "What's 2+2?". Puzzled, the young candidate replies "4". The manager thanks him for coming and tells him he'll let him know.

A second lad comes in for an interview. This young CPA graduated at the top of his class at Yale and scored perfect on his CPA exam. The manager goes through the same routine and then asks the final question "What's 3*4?". The young man was almost speechless of the manager's nerve to ask him such a simple question, but he answered "12". The manager thanks him and escorts him out.

The final kid is straight out of some tiny, backwoods school in the middle of Nowhere, USA and it took him 5 times to pass the CPA exam. The manager goes through his usual HR questions and then gets to the last question, "What's 6 minus 1?". The kid looks the manager square in the eye and asks "What would you like it to be?". The manager jumps out of his seat and exclaims YOU'RE HIRED!".

Ok. Guys you got "off topic" I think? Wasn't someone asking about a meeting place on Friday night? If we can come up with a general time maybe we can come up with a place? I looked at the Eureka Springs website and looked around at restaurants. I have emailed one called Forest Hill Restaurant, Steakhouse and Gift Shop with an inquiry. From looking at their website they have all kinds of food. They have menu items and a buffet. Buffet says soup/salad bar or hot food bar. Menu lists stuff like salad, soup, sandwiches, wraps, steaks (& other white meat), fish, seafood, pizza, pasta, desserts, beer, wine, mixed drinks. Their website even has a 10% off printable coupon. But I can't tell anything about the inside of restaurant or how the parking is. but they do have the capability for reservations. Or it looks that way. They are open for Breakast, lunch, and dinner. So even if you guys don't want to meet there Friday night it could be an option for another day or meal.

I think that sounds like a good a place as any since it seems to cater to most tastes if not all. I'm in RidingSunshine sounds good to me.

That place sounds fine to me. Btw, are most folks leaving Sunday or Monday.

Love,
Last minute planner that still needs to make reservations.
No worries, I think my R3T can handle a king size mattress on the tank, if need be.

I was going to wait a few more days

Well, I was hoping to have everything lined up for all of you for ES but I just got off work and noticed you'd brought up a Friday night idea. Here's what I'd put together so far and was hoping to finalize a few other places before posting.

Remember, this is just a suggestion and is always open for change. If you have a question, please let me know.

For those wanting to ride to Ozark on Saturday, I'll have a meeting place posted before ES.

E.S. suggested Itinerary

Pianoman has been busy.

Dave,

You are the man. Sounds good to me. A good ride, good food, and time to put a face with all of these cyber handles. Nice job of planning.
