Rockets Across America II - 2007

I'll get up to speed when I get there with E&C on Friday afternoon. I'll be playing Chevy Chase all next week while you all are at the salt mines, mining salt....

I stated before but I'll reinterate, I won't be doing Hooters on Friday evening. Carol isn't going there and I'm doing the whole ride with E&C so out of respect for her, we'll be taking dinner somewhere else. As far as the ride on Saturday, that's a go as well as anything else. Ed and I would do Hooters, we like to peer and leer, but Carol's a no-go.

Flip, I am sorry to hear that you won't be making it do Hooterson Friday night, especially for the reason stated. Maybe I am old and jaded, but I remember when I first went to Hooters, it was definitely a thrill and a half. But in the last 10 years or so it has become very "family" oriented, other than the push up for cleavage tops, they are nowhere near as "titillating" as they used to be. I've taken my wife there several times to eat there and she wondered what was the big deal. After all this is not exactly a "topless" place we are going to.

Anyway, I hope you all change your mind, if not and you are at the Super 8 we'll see you there or at the dealership on Saturday morning, have a great and safe trip.

Yeah, hooters has changed a bunch, I started taking my son there for his B-day when he was turned 13 and that lasted up until year before last when he asked if we could go to Applebee's instead. He had just turned 20. My itinerary has me not getting to Nashville until Saturday morning, I just can't afford to spend the money on a motel right now. I still havn't recovered financially from the crash yet. We can hang out with you guys all day Saturday and then head home that night or look for a campground nearby and come home Sunday. Until then, take care and ride safe.

Lets leave it this way. In as much as we should be arriving at the Taliban 8 early on, on Friday afternoon, most likely ahead of most everyone, lets just leave it hang 'till then. I said something to Carol about some weeks ago and go the 'no', but maybe she'll change her mind, especially when she sees we are basically all old farts anyway.

I presume the plan is to ride from the Taliban 8 to the dealership, as a group in the morning after gaining sustenance somewhere??

I'm outta here around 1:00pm tomorrow afternoon, headed to E&C's which is around 150 miles east of here. We are leaving their house Monday morning.

I don't know if it's been mentioned but you may want to google a list of Triumph dealers along your route. I'd jot down the phone numbers just in case.

just a heads up. CASTLE POWERSPORTS is a triumph dealership where i work. (clearing throat) lol. still waiting on a head count for hooters. round about figure will work. the hooters has a garage part in the building that would hold alot of people but if i can get us out in the open floor where we can see it all would be great too. the hooters i am thinking about is about a mile ffrom my shop. so it should keep yall in the same general area so no confusion as to were to go for the ride. as soon as i get a head count i will post directions from the super 8. also if some of yall are staying other places let me know and i will get directions from there.
