How's the move to the Bonnie from the R3?
I haven't had a Rocket in about 3 years. That said, it's a transparent move for me. I've owned or ridden just about every size bike known to man. They all have their place. Speed discussions are relative. I had a guy the other night (he rides a 750 Honda cruiser) that he rode a t100 and he said "That thing is fast!". No one that has ridden a ****** rocket or any of us that have, or has had, a Rocket is going to get off of a Bonnie and say "that thing is fast!". It's quick and nimble, but the MotoGP guys aren't going to be shaking in their boots anytime soon.
I love the bike. It's probably one of the easiest riding bikes I've ever owned, really effortless riding. And, I too am surprised at how smooth it is. It pushes around 5k rpms at 80, but it's just as smooth as a baby's arse, no vibes whatsoever.
Now, if I can just ever find a **** seat cowl for it. I put the fly screen on, TOR pipes with Arrow 2 into 2 map (had decel pop with the TOR tune) and Thruxton seat as I want a mild cafe look.
Not afraid to comment. Firstly it's well known that Daryl frequently talks crap.
And secondly, I've said before that I would almost sell my first born for a black Bonnie with sidecar. If I ever get over there I'm going to nick Ogremeisters.
Let's face it, most bikes look "bad" when they're black. A Rocket doesn't have to try to look "bad" and can be any colour it wants to be. Black doesn't really suit 'em.
And Daryl, that Bonnie is sweet. Very nice. Having been riding an America a bit lately I'm really impressed at how much torque the 865 has and how smooth they are. Congrats mate.
Thanks Mate!
