RocketDaryl and his new Bonnie

How's the move to the Bonnie from the R3?

I haven't had a Rocket in about 3 years. That said, it's a transparent move for me. I've owned or ridden just about every size bike known to man. They all have their place. Speed discussions are relative. I had a guy the other night (he rides a 750 Honda cruiser) that he rode a t100 and he said "That thing is fast!". No one that has ridden a ****** rocket or any of us that have, or has had, a Rocket is going to get off of a Bonnie and say "that thing is fast!". It's quick and nimble, but the MotoGP guys aren't going to be shaking in their boots anytime soon.

I love the bike. It's probably one of the easiest riding bikes I've ever owned, really effortless riding. And, I too am surprised at how smooth it is. It pushes around 5k rpms at 80, but it's just as smooth as a baby's arse, no vibes whatsoever.

Now, if I can just ever find a **** seat cowl for it. I put the fly screen on, TOR pipes with Arrow 2 into 2 map (had decel pop with the TOR tune) and Thruxton seat as I want a mild cafe look.

Thanks Mate!

Cool man, I'm glad you're enjoying it. It is indeed a fun bike to ride.
As for the seat cowl, are you looking to purchase new or used? I didn't think the new one's were in short supply!

They're not, but they don't come in the right color. The Thruxton black isn't the same color as the t100 black. It's got a metal flake in it. Also, the Thruxton cowl has a gold stripe. I want solid black. Thus, I'd like to find a reasonably priced used one since I have to paint it anyway. The other option is to buy a fiberglass one from AirTech. Theirs comes primed, just needs paint and the screw holes drilled.

Got it. I imagine Airtech much cheaper than Triumph new? In all my time owning the Bonnie, I don't recall seeing a seat cowl come up for sale.
There is a salvage company on eBay that may have or can find on for you. You have give them a call and not go by their online inventory. I can't recall the name. I'll update here when when I do.

Yes, I know. And, of course, you already know my beauty. And, you've yet to successfully capture it on film.

BonnieDaryl??

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Ok Ill tone it down.........as I first started reading this thread I couldnt help but repeat "BonnieDaryl...BonnieDaryl" and it didnt sound right....not that theres anything wrong with it.....but..........lets have fun........I say lets put it to the forum to give "RocketDaryl" a new name!!!! Only if hes game of course!
Well Daryl what say you????? Or shoudl I ask What say you "BeautifulDaryl"?!

mutt

Go for it. Although truthfully, it should probably just simply be TriumphDaryl or TrumpetDaryl, as I don't tend to keep bikes long enough to be model specific.
