SPRAY the complete bike wih LEMON PLEDGE and dont wipe it off it will protect every surface spray the engine, the wheels and tires everything on the bike will stay pristine you can wipe the tank fenders and wind screen to a polished finish and then every time you ride spray it when you return and leave the excess on the bike wipe the excess off the parts you want to shine before you ride
AND you need to store it somwhere so you want a new bike then you have to take care of it and buy the pledge at SAMS CLUB 3 cans for $10 I use about 3 cans every 6 months for 3 bikes so its cheap enough not worth talking about and you can spray your boots, leather jacket, helmet and even the wind screen GOOD STUFF

Used that stuff on my Ninja as it had a lot of plastic - way more than my Roadster.
Worked REAL well for enhancing the spit shine on my boots whilst in OCS.
While stationed at Norfolk V.A. I kept my bikes in a rented storage shed. They do sell what you would call bike tents. look around on some of the motorcycle parts websites. I have used the tents before and they do work.

Some of you must have some good smelling bikes, keep the bike well polished, if you want powder coat what you can and also keep the bike covered when not in use.
I have seen bike tents they are portable and like a tent zip up so your bike is covered but best option is get it inside does not have to be climate controlled I live in Fort Walton Beach FL and have five bikes in a shed with no rust.
