Very interesting about this low tension side business.
As for fuel filter, I'm fairly certain my setup is factory still and is still inside the fuel tank. (You do have to hold your facial expression in a strange manner to make it happen hahaha ) but it's really a fairly straight forward job. I have been led to believe that inside the fuel filter housing that there is a corse and a fine filter element. The latter is, of course, the most likely culprit for low fuel flow which leads to a low fuel pressure issue, this can make ya bike lean out under load, and can sometimes even kill the pump.
I'll check this low tension stuff today and see what transpires. Going to check out and possibly rewire the fuel pump/level wiring today (as it's short and has been tugged on once or twice). Then I shall turn off data logging on the motec to free up some memory as I had a 30 min convo with a mate in cairns early this morning that's a bit of a wiz kid, and he has seen similar problems due to this.
Looking forward to smoothing it out because she halls some serious ass when it pulls right through clean.
