True that. On the Diavel, there’s a button you can press that brings up 4 dashes on the instrument panel. Using the indicator switch, you can enter a 4 digit pin which lets you start it. So even if you lose the key when you’re out you can still start it. Flaw in that plan, there’s no such trick for the gas cap...
My dealer told me about their Triumph annual event over here which happened a few days ago : this time they've been invited in the South of Portugal to test new 2020 models.
Days were booked by country (for France and Switzerland same days, Germany before etc.).
He said that the brand did not have to "sell" them the place or else since the qualities and enjoyment of the Triumph models were "self-sufficient" !
By checking where it took place, I guess that some of the dealers may have had difficulties to make a distinction between these working days and great holidays...
He added that the "influencers" (independent youtubers) were also there, thus we should expect to see soon more tests videos on the net.
First one I've found is in German (I'll ask a friend of mine to translate asap unless any member from here could do it before but it is secondary to me given the images...) :
That a pretty cool camera set up this rider has.
That road is skinny.
That bumps give you a great idea how well the bike recovers.
Chirping tires mean riding on the edge in this case...
I can see a camera shadow but not where it would attach to the bike? I wonder if it is computer processing of the images to fill in where the camera attaches to the bike??
Cool vid and great riding for sure... watched it 3 times already FYI: he's using a Insta360 ONE X camera on an 'invisible selfie stick' (really) attached to a mount on his back pack
In Portugal again (ref. #132) but this time Triumph France invited the French famous youtubers/influencers.
You can imagine what he tells about the R3 : incredible torque, incredible and easy riding dynamics especially for such a weight and really great ground clearance resulting in approaching the turns with a free mind and so on...with a big Thank you Triumph !:
