Hi guys (& gals) -I just "watched" the group. Let me know if I need to do anything else to follow this thread. I live near E-burg (on the dry side!) I'm skier in the winter and rider in the warmer months. We ski a bit in the NW as well as a couple trips to Colorado each year. We have not ridden much the past two summers so we've developed "soft butt". We're not much for long rides anyway. If we've got to travel long distances, we might just load them on the trailer. She has her own bike ('99 "Fatster" -1200 Sporty made to look like a Fatboy, sans the soft-tail suspension.) I just sold my Harley last Nov.

Nice hearing from you, Amigo. I haven't been to you town for years when I used to park my truck and trailer there at the police yard. I was working in those days and vacation time was precious. I used to drive the loaded rig for about a 1000 miles then park the and unload in order to extend my ride distance. Great memories!

Anyway, that day shall be indeed be a long ride over 500 miles on my bad leg and knee. The closest we shall get is likely just east of Burley where 84 bifurcates south from 86. If you know of a place around there, I could call you when I know just when we will get there. Would be cool for all of us (Dan, me, Idaho Red Rocket and Albertaduke) to hook up for a coffee break if you wish.

I won't be joining you (my bike is still sitting in NJ at Carpenter Racing waiting for the polished pipe to come back from the polisher so Bob can put it back on and I can ship it). :-(
I just moved back to WA from Colorado last year. There are a lot of great "day rides" near Montrose. I don't know your itinerary, but if you have an extra day and want some input, I'd be happy to make some suggestions. Have a great trip.
