Looks like it is going to be the week of July 18th (Monday).
We shall likely head out the Friday or Saturday prior, spend a night in Butte, MT and then head on to Spearfish (500 mi).
Where in CA you going?

I'll end up in Chowchilla. One of my sons may join my on his Tiger so we're scoping out a good route to avoid the 5 slab, but not take too terribly long. It's hard for him to get time off as well. The life of the working stiffs. Can't wait to join you retired guys.

I intend to research availability in Spearfish, SD and Red Lodge, MT, as I have stayed in each several times in the past.
I do have one picked out for the night in Hulett, WY. I shall get on this soon and post.

Steve I found a place in lead that has 50 rooms. Blackstone lodge & suites 605-584-2000 79 dollars a night. Will give us a better price depending on how many rooms we need. Work your magic on the price FATBOY

Very surprised that Hulett is booked up for all of our July dates.
The Crow Nest Lodge (stayed there-cheap and OK lodging) great large outdoor deck for hanging out.
They have only 7 doubles available now. There are many other hotels in town as well.
Looks like perhaps 3 nights in Spearfish then ride to Red Lodge, Mt (366 mi).

Was there last summer for Sturgis ($300/night).
Now new management and with a new name. Nice place!
I have NO idea how many are coming!

Lead is only 20 miles from spearfish. Red lodge is going to be full too
