Rocket owners average age!

Wow

Richard,
Hong Kong...do you see many motor cycles? What type?
Yes - a lot of bikes here. Not so good for commuting to work - traffic is bad and heat in the summer makes it difficult. But Sunday mornings at 6:00am the boys go out to ride. It's cooler then and the traffic is light. We go up near the China boarder and through the country parks. Breakfast in a cafe and home by 11:00 after 100 miles or so. A lot of Ducati's as there is a big dealership here. MV Agusta's also and of course the Japanese bikes. There are fewer Triumph's at present as there is no dealership here. I bought my Rocket from Jack Lilley in the UK and imported it myself. The government testing boys had to use their car emissions tester as the bike one couldn't handle the R3! When I park the bike and walk away I always look over my shoulder at the fantastic machine.

WOW- an R3R and a Diavel! What a choice! How in the world do you decide which one to ride on any given day???

Over 60 in body. a lot less in spirit!

And after 7000miles over a good summer on the Roadster I feel even younger all over!

Thanks. I read Triumph is opening many dealerships in India. Perhaps China will soon also be in their sights. Winter here and not much riding. Almost daily I go to garage and have a look at the R3R. Makes me smile

We're getting close to 100 respondants, fellas' - well done!

I can hardly bear to ogle my Mulberry Mistress during this time of the year, as riding her now is neither a wise, nor a pragmatic option.

64 in March Started riding when I was 13. Red and gray 305 Super Hawk. Man! I really thought I was a stud. Believe it or not, there were other motorcycles at the junior high school I attended from 7th to 9th grade. There were two 305's, a 250 Scrambler, a 650 Tiger, a red and gray 160 Hawk, a 250? Allstate oil burner, and a handful of nifty thrifty Honda 50s. None of us had any sort of drivers license. My how times have changed.

BTW-that 2cycle Allstate was the loudest motorcycle I have ever heard with the baffles removed. Plus it wasn't at all a pretty sound. Not the bumble bee in a beer can sound at all. More like cannons being shot off in an irregular pattern. I had forgotten about that bike. Thanks for the post and stirring old memories.
