Rocket III Touring tire recall (USA)

My UK triumph dealer is aware of a partial recall, whether the bike is affected is supposed to depend on the VIN number.

Does this mean those of us who had to replace the tire before the recall notice may have some recourse? My back tire was gone at ~5200 miles.

From what my dealer told me the answer is yes even if you already replaced it before you are still part of the recall

I talked to him Friday and he told me the same thing. He said Metzler was the tire chosen by Triumph as the replacement. I didn't have that option where I live and went with the Avon cobra. That was almost 2000 miles ago and mine still looks new. He said I should get a letter next week and the tires would follow. My dealer said that he currently can't sell any of his floor models until they receive the Metzlers and Triumphs ok. I told him if someone was dying for one that I would hook them up
