Feeling a bunch hunched over on my Roadster (I'm only 5'9") and have lowered my seat by 1" --- anyone put the 1.5" Thunderbike bars on a Roadster. Thunderbike web site says that the instrument pods may need some change to the stock bracket.
Thought about the Rivco riser but I do like the Thunderbikes. Any comments would be most welcome. Thanks.

I got'em on my bike..love'em. Thunderbike supply a little tab that moves the guages back , you get everything needed to fit the bars. I've had mine made 80mm taller, put a roadster gel seat on and found i was having to lean forward more than the stock Standard seat to reach the bars. Ride all day with them now 1,000 klm day no worries.

Hey guys, thanks. I will sure consider the Rivco's with you positive feedback but still considering the Thunderbike. Tomcat, do you have any pictures of your Roadster with new bars?

The Rivco risers are strongly recommended no matter which handlebar you choose.

hey,

got the thunderbike bars on my '11 roadster, and like they state, the bracking which comes with the bars are not good for the roadster.
i made up a bracket of my own. even tho the bracket must be fabbed up, i wouldn't want it any way else anymore, those bars are great!

in this pic you can see how much the tach should be moved:

in this pic you see where they end up if you make a bracket like i did:

this is a pic of the bracket i made out of 1" thick plastic,
1= holes drilled thru the block to bolt bracket onto risers.
2= holes drilled and wiretapped to bolt tach onto bracket
i used flatheaded hex bolts 4 all bolts i replaced.

Hope this helps,
