Ride Home this morning.

Your experience and knowledge of the bikes capabilities helped you there Sonny...you dont get very long to think what is happening and of course WHILE you are thinking, you're covering ground.
It really supports our way of thinking on these bikes that you keep your mind clear and keep your eyes open noticing anything that may be different or changing while you get along.
Your decision and actions are those of a rider i would feel safe riding with....even after a big tiring day! Good stuff brutha!
 
YUUUPP!...i would be changing them right now...spend the money and be safe.
 
It's always seemed better to me to be ahead of idiot drivers then behind them. I don't understand why the state troopers don't agree.

I had a similar incident. Stopped in 1st gear, saw a truck on my ridding buddy's mirror, heard the tyres screech and the bike just got me out in time.

i would think that there would be a lot of these (just got away)
 
Was that a sleeping deaf and blind buck with a 'Bambi' tattoo or simply a dead one?


Up North we have 1000 kg plus feral water buffaloes that are gray and covered in gray mud that love to sleep on the still warm h'way at night. Virtually impossible to see until they turn their heads and the light reflects in their eyes.

dead deer taking a nap in middle of the road.think it was dead tired. good sized deer with a pretty good size rack from what little I saw
 
a black cow on a tarseal road at night is very difficult to see until they look at the lights....then their eyes let you know....one night i was in a truck and trailer unit and i drove right up to a cow lying on the warm road...she slowly stood up and looked at me as if to say 'what?'...i bumped her with the bullbar and knocked her sideways a foot or two,,,she got the idea and moved off. If you encountered that on a bike it would be interesting....
