Rice grinder?

One of my old friends has a built 110 in his HD. It really runs pretty strong and he can launch it like a pro.

He has spent close to two years trying to get me to race him and I just refuse to bite. 'Look man, why should I blow 800 miles of tread life off my rear tire to prove something that you already know is going to happen?"

It drives him up the wall so bad that it is more fun for me than whooping him would be.

Race him. He will shut up. And keep in mind, you ain't winning if you are spinning.

I went to a blackberry festival in oklahoma once and a guy on a very old harley needed a dime . I knew right off the bate he had to set his points. Gave him a dime and boy was he happy. Later on he bought me about twenty dollars in beer. Everybody else at the time was making fun of the guy. Laughing at his bike and making fun of the old buster. It turn out to be a very old pan head, worth a hell of a lot more than the wonder of the world twin cam.

Lots of yuppies riding $40K Road Glides on the Cape will come up to one of us riding old beaters and laugh at us. When I am on the Rocket and they ask what it is? I just politely say it is a Trumpet and wait for the look and they twist the wrist and go away. But without a doubt the best bikers are the older bikers that respect all bikes. And I will drink to that.
 
I saw a Harley Sportster with V&H and drag bars yesterday making mincemeat out of S McCarran in Reno, It's a curvey road where I get up to 90 mph on the straights between lights. He was really moving through the turns. Those bikes handle really well and are fast in the twisties compared to the larger HD's.

Well yeah, but what would be the fun in that? I could race him and then that would be that, or, I could spend several more years irritating the stew out of him by not racing him. That way I will have months and months of entertainment keeping him spinning around in circles wanting to see if he could pull off enough of a hole shot to stay in front until the lights trip. :ninja:

And my right hip flexor and my right meniscus make me tear up everytime I start that pig. I wish it started like my CRF450 does.
