Ok I know I am going to get some abuse over this but here I go. Has anyone fitted a reverse gear to their rocket? Can it be done?

I have two...a left foot and right foot

Seriously, though, there have been times I wish the bike did have one!

I think if anyone was going to take on something that major, it would be to add a 6th gear to hit that elusive 200 MPH that the Rocket is currently unable to achieve because of gearing.. Oh.. and also to lope along at freeway speeds...

I can believe that with all you technical wizards on here making removable sissy bars, custom mods, etc that no one has given it a crack. How does it get done when you convert to a trike?

Some of us don't need an extra gear to reach that.

OK Baconboy - I'm from South Wales too so you can have a look at mine if ya want - R3 trike - with a Elite differential and the reverse is in the diff. So theoretically it can go as fast backwards as forwards - might try that one of the days. Cheers. Ron

One more gear

I'm with you TxR. I have said many times Triumph could figure a way to stuff a 6th gear in that tranny. Just to get better gas mileage of course.
