First time on here, just picked up my 2022 GT last week. I noticed the rev limit on mine is set to 6500 instead of the 7000 quoted on Triumph websites. It appears I can manually change it to 7000, but I did try the reset option in the menu , and that seems to set it back to 6500 as if it were the factory default setting. Has anybody else noticed this?

You need to get Tuneecu software + Bluetooth adapter and then Up your rev limiter to 7500

It has already been dyno tuned & remapped with restrictors removed. Was just wondering why the factory default is only 6500 and not 7000 as it should be. It would seem strange (but possible) that the shop that did the work adjusted the factory default down to 6500. The work was done prior to my purchase & i have the receipts.

if its not revving up above 6500 that means the shop didnt do it or forgot about it?

The 6500 is the "soft" rev limit and the bike starts to close the throttle bodies and isn't letting you hit the hard 7K limit. Mine did that as well until the restrictions were removed. It lets the power fall off gradually at the upper end install of hitting the wall like some bikes do when they sound rough because the rev limiter is kicking in.

With the restrictions removed I upped the RPM to 7400 and it will hit it now.

I should also ask if it has been to a Triumph dealer since the tune work was done? They might have reloaded the stock tune in because it is part of the service procedures to make sure you have the latest factory tune.

thanks for the info, I don't think it's been back to a dealer. It appears to have been serviced, then sold to previous owner who then got the tune done late last year
