Hi captains, I posted the below to Clavigar.
"Hi Claviger, I have had nothing but trouble with my TPS and stepper motor for over 10 years. Replaced them both, tuned and re tuned but never perfect. I have tied them under seat but didn't like the clicking. If you are able to speak with Alain to remove these codes from my map I would be very grateful. I don't plan on having my TB bored out. I have attached my map. Please let me know how you go. Cheers in advance, Cruze Ryder"
Turbo said I should repost here, if anyone can help that would be great

as far as i know me and Fred aka Rocket Scientist are the only one working on this stepper motor problem .
i have learned that because i never changed the original setting on the idle set screw i was able to set up the stepper motor clearance by adjusting the clearance at the (gismo because i don't know what it is called) at 0.010**ten thousands.
this makes the stepper motor work great when the motor warms up.
i have been playing with this adjustment for starting when cold by trying different size shims in the 0.010 gap and the best for starting cold is 0.025 you still have to give it throttle till it warms up a bit.
now the stepper motor is going through its normal routine when the key on but fails to do its thing on the cold start leaving me to work the throttle.
i do not know what causes the ecu to operate (maybe this will bring some opinions) the fast idle in the morning i am going to order some vacuum plugs and hoses for the map sensor but for now i just work the throttle lol

I expect the cold start fast idle is likely tied the engine temperature sensor.

I went a different route.
I removed the link and adjusted the small yellow screw to raise idle to 900. Haven't had a problem since, been about three years, put link in toolbox drawer just in case. Can't remember if removed the motor or not, but I don't believe I did. Hasn't set a code or a problem since.

I didn't like the sound of stepper motor hunting, when I turned the key on.
