Relocating Coolant Tank - Left side details

I've seen many threads about relocating the stock coolant tank to the left side of the bike. I have a 2011 Touring and there is zero room there unless I remove the EVAP cannister. Can anyone confirm that the EVAP needs to be removed, and if not, where the heck the coolant bottle goes?! Photos would be awesome.

I have seen two options.

1. Replace your OEM filter set up with Ramair or K&N pods and take the OEM filter out and relocate overflow bottle into there. That is what I did.

2. Buy (or make) an aftermarket overflow canister that can be mounted to the side of your radiator or put on the crash bar. Someone ( I can't remember who, sorry, my bad) on here used to make a canister to mount to the side so you could relocate the overflow and open up the OEM for tools, etc at the same time. If you do a google search you can find instructions and plenty of ideas.

I imagine it could go there but I personally have not heard of it. I took my emissions stuff, including evap canister, off and mounted a Suzuki voltage regulator there. Other people have taken the evap canister off and placed the compressor for a louder horn there but that is all I personally have knowledge of. Maybe someone else will come along and have some input. Like I said, when I removed all of the OEM air intake plumbing I placed my coolant overflow into the empty space where the OEM underseat air filter was.

There should be several articles on here mounting a stainless round tank. At one time I think Mittzy posted some articles and was selling a stainless tank. You can also buy stainless tanks on Amazon and mount to left side crash bar.

Thank you, but I'm not interested in a coolant tank out in the open no matter how decorative. I hate stuff hanging off my bike. I'm only interested in moving the OEM one to the left side beneath the cover. Several articles on here say it fits like a glove but none of them explain the process. There is simply no room there with the EVAP in place. Also, I'm running RAMAIR and am also not interested in putting it under the seat. Only left side cover mount if anyone has details.

That's why everyone removes it. Not needed and it opens up that side cover area for other things. Could be horn, voltage regulator, or in your case NOT THOSE things, so you could place your overflow bottle in there.

Several articles on here say it fits like a glove but none of them explain the process.

Step 1) Remove EVAP cannister.
Step 2) Remove overflow bottle. (Steps 1 and 2 can be done in reverse order if you prefer).
Step 3) Disconnect coolant lines running to overflow bottle.
Step 4) Lengthen/replace coolant lines as needed to re-route from current location to new location.
Step5) Place coolant overflow bottle in desired new location and secure as you wish.
Step 6) Connect newly lengthened / re-routed coolant lines to overflow bottle.

One last thing...what do I do with the line coming out of the purge valve? Do I vent it or plug it? Or do I remove the purge valve altogether?
