****, I got so worked up just reading these posts that I almost ordered one! And, I don't even own a Rocket!

Flip, I know (now) that the stuff on the stainless around the laser cuts is melted glue off the protective plastic, but when you open that sucker up and see it for the first time ... very scary. I think I covered every emotion I am capable of from the time I got the package to the 1st person who noticed how cool it looks. So guys, don't freak when you see the thing for the first time, it's only adhesive. lol
I got mine installed and think it looks awsome..... I left the mesh alone (took the opportunity to inventory the dead bugs) for now, but think it would look better black as a backdrop for the stainless. The junk on the highways here on the coast sand-blast everything and I'm debating if I want to paint or powder coat. Any of you spray can shakers have a chipping problem yet? I suppose I could just paint it annually if there is a problem, just not too lucky with painting chrome in the past. Not interested in sanding the little crevices and I left my media blaster at the store that sells them.
I think I just talked myself into having it coated ..... good therapy.

I have sprayed the mesh with spray-on truck bed liner. I do have a chipping problem from time to time, but it's not terrible... I probably touch it up once a year or so... Powder coating would be the way to really go..

Got mine last week..... I LOVE IT!!! I didnt do anything with the screen yet, but I am going to paint it black once I figure out what will work best.

I replaced my mesh with stainless steel security mesh from some off cuts I got from a screen door company. The mesh is a closer weave than the std one so it stops smaller rocks from hitting the radiator. I think it is powder coated black and has no chips on it so far. I also replaced the ones on the back also, I just bent them to right shape.
