They seldom last more than 12-15k, so you will need them soon enough.
I do use the rear brakes just as hard as the fronts and mine were paper thin at 12k.

If you read the post as it stands you think of a tampon. 5 minutes if slightly inebriated.

I haven't had mine changed out yet and I'm at 24k. Of course I mostly use engine braking when I slow with the rear tire.
