Rear light enhancement

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I think installing something on my panniers would be great. Problem is i need to take the panniers off often for cleaning so i'll have to figure out how to configure the wiring so they can be easily disconnected when I need to this. I put HID lights in front last week and the improvement in visibility is awesome.

I just used these and cut off one wire as mine are only tail / brake lights...

i ran the brightest and put a relay with a resistor draw hooked to my brake so it just blinks when i am on the brakes. i put the two bottom on first and then the top. i think i could got away with just one below the rack.

you can really see the difference from the original to what i have now.
you can barley see my tail light. when my wife was behind me all she could see was my jacket so i added some lights. now no one tailgates me. and people tend to switch lanes so as not to be behind me when i stop.

Hi Thump, The bags are bolted on at 3 points. I only take them off for service when needed. The wiring I used bullet connectors that come apart. I ran the wires from near the middle of the bike near the battery to the rear and then into the bags. All the connectors are in the bags to stay out of the weather. I ran the wires through those flexible split plastic tubes made for auto wiring. Very nice set up. One day I may change the connectors to trailer quick connectors on the outside of the bags, but not until I really have to since I rarely need to take the bags off anyway.

I used LED strips ran across the back and over the exhaust and the bike lites up can't miss it. Also lite up the radiator and the top on engine.
